Mr. Barnette
My name is Mr. Barnette. The 2023-2024 is my tenth year at BRMS and my seventh year teaching Gateway to Technology. I have a wife, Melissa, and son, Devan. I graduated from Chapman High School in 1997 and North Greenville University in 2001 with a BA in Church Music. Since graduating, I have served in churches as Minister of Music, Minister of Youth, Minister of Children, After School Administrator, and Church Administrator. In 2012, I returned to North Greenville University to complete my teacher certification in Instrumental Music and Piano. I taught Career Education for one semester then began teaching Orchestra and Chorus from 2014-2017.
Recently, I graduated from North Greenville University with my Master's of Music Education and LaVerne University with a +30 in Technology in the Classroom. I have also obtained my Google Educator Level 1 and Level 2 Certification. I am very excited about the new challenges of the school year and the opportunities Gateway to Technology brings to our students here at BRMS!

Mrs. Brown
I am Mrs. Brown. This will be my 16th year teaching middle school. I moved to South Carolina by way of Michigan 16 years ago. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan- Flint in Elementary Education and Master's of Education degree in Gifted and Talented Ed. from Converse College. I have a wonderful husband who is a Greer native and 5 beautiful children. In my free time I enjoy home improvement projects, recycling old furniture and during the fall- cheering on the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice. I am looking forward to getting to know my GTT students this year!
