About Mrs. Robinson

I am very excited to begin my sixth year at GEC!

Educational Background:

I graduated from North Greenville University with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics. For a year, I was a student teacher at Greenville County School's Teen Parent Program, where I assisted the math instructor. I am forever grateful for the time there because I learned how to differentiate instruction for learners that are learning at all different levels. For five years, I was a teacher at SHARE Head-start, where I was a part of a study team that focused on the environmental effects on children in school. I welcomed eight infants to the program, and worked with them, as their teacher, until the age of four. I am forever grateful for the time there and how it shaped me as a teacher and how it taught me the importance of building relationships with my students and their families. For over a year, I worked as an Early Interventionist; where I worked with children with developmental delays, and their families, to help educate and enhance the child's learning and development. I am so thankful for that job because it taught me a great deal of teaching techniques. It also helped me gain insight in the way children learn best, and helped me to understand that every child CAN learn, no matter what.

Personal Life:

I am married to my high school sweetheart. My husband and I share three beautiful little girls and a puppy. I am very competitive, and love watching and playing in sporting activities. My favorite sport is track and field. I love to sing and enjoy all kinds of music! I'm slightly addicted to Pepsi. I love spending time and being surrounded by family. Most of all... I love to be engaged with children. They keep me laughing and keep me young!

I am very family orientated, which is why I have fallen in love with GEC! The atmosphere at GEC is warm, comfortable, and inviting; and I am looking forward to another successful year at Greenville Early College!
