Hello! My name is Jacquetta Boatwright, and I am proud to serve as a Behavior Interventionist here at Hughes Academy. I am passionate about supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth so they can succeed both in and out of the classroom. 😀
Middle school is an exciting time full of growth and sometimes, it comes with challenges too. My job is to support students in managing their emotions, making positive choices, and learning skills that help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
I work closely with our students, teachers, and families to create individualized support plans that helps each child reach their full potential. My approach is rooted in patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
At the heart of my work is the belief that every student deserves to feel safe, respected, and understood. I strive to build strong relationships with the students by listening to their needs, encouraging self-regulation, and celebrating progress; small strides are still WINS.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, and continuing to grow!!
I am grateful to be part of a team that puts students first and looks forward to helping your child have a successful and rewarding school year!
