About Mrs. Gordon

My name is Ellen Gordon and I am so exited to teach 3rd grade this year!  This is my third year at Bethel, but it is my 28th year teaching. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Tulane University, and then I completed a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Furman University. Additionally, I completed a M.A.+30 program in School Leadership from Furman University. Previously I have taught kindergarten, second, third and fourth grades, as well as hands-on science/discovery to kindergarten, first and second grade students. I also served as an Instructional Coach for five years.

I am married to my husband Jamie, and we have two sons Ryan and Seth. They will both be at the University of South Carolina, Ryan as a senior and Seth as a sophomore. We are HUGE University of Kentucky Wildcats fans for BASKETBALL! We have two inquisitive and demanding cats named Skippy and Gray, but I love all animals. I also enjoy reading, crafting, and spending time with family near and far.
