Samantha Gilbertson, BSW

Behavior Intervention Specialist

Welcome!

I am Alexander Elementary School's new behavior intervention specialist, all the way from the state of Minnesota!

I graduated with my BSW from St. Cloud State University, and have experience in school behavioral intervention, parent education, and trauma-informed care. I am so excited to begin this new journey building relationship with the students and families of Alexander!

My Role

My role is to help ensure the safety and success of all students here at Alexander. I focus on creating strategies and interventions both in and out of the classroom to promote emotional well-being, learning, and emotional regulation. This includes teaching socioemotional skills, giving tools and techniques to help children learn to self-regulate, and coaching on classroom management techniques and trauma-informed care. If you feel your child could benefit from behavioral intervention assistance, don't hesitate to reach out through email or phone.
