August 7: First Day of School for Students

August 9: First Day with Instruments for 7th and 8th Grade

August 14: Mouthpiece Fitting for 6th Grade

August 21: Instrument Rental Night; 5:30-7:30

August 28: Beginning Band First Day with Instruments

September 6: Symphonic Band Starts

September 8: Instrument Rental Fee Due

September 8: Middle School Night with the J. L. Mann Marching band (Highly Recommend!)

October 13:  Sign Ups for All County ($10) AND Region Band ($12) Audition due

October 19:  Symphonic Band Magnet Open House

November ?: Symphonic Band Veterans Day Concert (CANCELLED)

*December 1: 7th and 8th Grade Before School Rehearsal; 7:45-9:00

*December 5: Beginning Band Grade After School Rehearsal; 3:45-4:30

*December 6: Beck Band Winter Concert; 6:30pm in Beck Gym

January 11: Middle School All County Band Auditions; Mauldin Middle School (strongly encouraged)

January 20: Region Band Auditions; Powdersville High School

January 27: All State Auditions for qualifying students; Inclement Weather Region Auditions

February 9: Solo and Ensemble $ due ($10 solo, $5 ensemble)

February 16-17: Region Band Clinic at Furman

February 22-23: All County Band Clinic (Thursday after school and Friday all day)

March 1st: CPA Money and Permission form due (Symphonic Band)

March 10-12: All State Clinic at Furman University

March 28: Symphonic Band to Concert Performance Assessment 

April 26: Symphonic Band to Carowinds Music Festival

April 27: Solo and Ensemble

*May 1st: Beginning Band After School Rehearsal; 3:15-4:00 PM

*May 2: Beck Band Spring Concert; 6:30pm

*indicates Mandatory performance or event, please put these events in your calendar. If a student misses a Mandatory performance or rehearsal, their grade and/or participation in the ensemble will be affected. Make-up assignments will be given for excused absences.
