Homework
The PTA has given every student an assignment book. Your student is responsible for writing down all of his or her homework every morning. There is space for each day in which your child can write down assignments. There will be three homework assignments consistently throughout the year:
Spelling words will be assigned every Friday with spelling tests the following Thursday.
Reading is a very important skill. Therefore, your child should read for at least 20 minutes every weekday night, though more reading is encouraged
Friday Folder
Every Friday, the students will get a folder with their grades from the week, important information from the school, a newsletter, and a behavior sheet for you to sign. The grades, important information, and newsletter sheets are for you to keep. However, the student will be expected to turn the folder and behavior sheet in on Monday.
I do not believe that homework should take up your student’s life. Therefore, if your child’s homework is taking over an hour, please let me know!
