Unit 5: Transportation

This month in Literacy we will be finishing up all of our letters and letter sounds. We also will still be working on rhyming words and beginning sounds.  

In writing, we will be focusing on observing our teacher write a morning message and reading the message as a class. We will be writing our first and last names and identifying the first sound of words. We started writing sentences using concepts of print such as capital letters, spaces, and punctuation. 

For math, we will learn about the number 8.  We will be learning how to count past 20 and count objects up to 10.  We also will be learning about our 3-D shapes ( cube, sphere, cylinder, cone, and pyramid). We started skip counting by 5's and  10's to 100.
