All About Me

Email:  kradke@greenville.k12.sc.us

Hello, my name is Kristen Radke and I am one of the art teachers at Robert E. Cashion Elementary and Fork Shoals School.

My art vision is that every student has the opportunity to explore, experiment, and express their creative nature. We explore different artists, time periods in history, and cultural art from around the world; developing a greater understanding of all people. We experiment and utilize a variety of mediums to assist in the discovery and transformation of ideas into self-expression.

My love of art began in High School where I excelled in my art and photography classes. I then studied Studio Art and Communications at William Paterson University of New Jersey and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2014. After spending over two years traveling and tutoring children in and out of the United States, I combined my love of art and helping children and went back to school to pursue my Education degree. In my free time I enjoy attending art workshops and working on my personal artwork. Lately my favorite mediums to work with have been watercolor paint and photography.

I am so excited to have moved to South Carolina and most importantly to be teaching at REC and the Fork! My goal is to continue to engage students, foster their creativity, and encourage an appreciation for art. I am so excited to meet you all!
