BC CALCULUS

Class Description:

This course is for the mathematically gifted student capable of the college level.  The course outline reflects the content currently recommended by the College Entrance Examination Board.  Students enrolled in the course are required to take the Advanced Placement Calculus Examination administered by CEEB in the spring.  Most colleges grant two semesters of credit to students who complete this course successfully and pass the examination.  This means you will take one AP test, but get 2 scores.  As long as those scores are a 3 or above, most schools will give you college credit for Calculus 1 and 2.  There will be a practice examination given in April in which your participation is strongly encouraged.

Greenville County School Board Policy JCDA has been officially adopted starting this spring semester.  Personal electronic devices (including cell phones and ear buds) cannot be used by students in classrooms during the instructional day.  All personal devices must remain out of sight of others and be silenced during this time.   Students, however, may use personal electronic devices during class changes, lunch, and other times outside of the classroom during the instructional day.
