About Me

About Me:

My name is Allison Peasley. This is my fifth year at Riverside High School. I graduated from Clemson University with my Masters and Education Specialist degrees in School Counseling. I also obtained my Bachelors in Psychology from Clemson University. So I am a Tiger through and through! I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, MI and originally went to the University of Michigan before transferring to Clemson. I enjoy reading, playing/watching sports, being outdoors, and spending time with my dog Adie. I am also one of the assistant varsity volleyball coaches here at Riverside High School.

This year I am transitioning to a new role at RHS as the Social Emotional Learning Specialist. Personal/social counseling and social emotional skill development have always been my passion. I am thrilled for this opportunity to serve our students, parents, staff, and community to focus on shifting the mindset from responsive interventions to preventive measures. This year I will focus on implementing schoolwide social emotional learning and mental health programming including classroom lessons, small group counseling, individual counseling, parent nights, wellness days, and staff support.

My favorite part about working with adolescents is helping them develop copying skills to handle any challenge they may encounter in life. I like to help students develop critical thinking skills, self advocacy skills, and a positive identity. I'm here to provide psychosocial education to students, staff, and families to help prepare our student population for their future. I love being a part of the RHS community and I can’t wait to collaborate with you all on future possibilities!
