About Me

My name is Frau Fowler and this is my twelfth year teaching German, and my third at Riverside High School. I am originally from the greater Detroit area. I graduated from Michigan State University through their College of Education with bachelor's degree in German. I graduated from Anderson University with a master's degree in Education.

I have had the privilege to study the German language and culture for over fifteen years and have spent a year studying in Germany at the Universität Freiburg, which is located in the southwestern region of the country by the Black Forest.

I love the German language and culture and cannot wait for you to join me on a journey through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Luxembourg!

Not only am I the German teacher, but I am also the advisor of German Club, German Honor Society, and the German Exchange.

My family is extremely important to me. My husband, Nick, and I have two boys, Luke and Noah. I love spending quality time with them!

In my spare time I enjoy reading, being outside, playing games, gardening, and spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and have made it to Germany, Switzerland, France, England, Italy, Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands, but there are many more places I'm looking forward to exploring!

Es lebe die deutsche Sprache!
