Coach Cook was born in Pennsylvania but grew up in Greenville, SC. She graduated from Eastside High School in 2000. She then moved on to Clemson University where she graduated in May 2004 with her B.S. in Chemistry and then received her teaching certificate at Clemson in May 2005. She obtained her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in August 2011 and her Gifted and Talented Certification in June 2012. She enjoys learning new things and always improving!

Coach Cook has been teaching and coaching at WHHS for 15 years. Coach Cook has taught Environmental Studies (non-lab), Physical Science, Chemistry 1 CP, Chemistry 1 Honors, Chemistry 2 Honors, AP Chemistry, Meteorology and Geology, and Honors Physics at Wade Hampton in the past fifteen years. She serves as the Science Department Chair, Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach, and Assistant Athletic Director.

Coach Cook was the elected teacher for WHHS Class of 2012 and 2013. She served as WHHS Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 and was Third Runner-Up for 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year in Greenville County.

Outside of school, Coach Cook enjoys being around her friends and family. She is also the very proud aunt of 14 year-old Sydney, 11 year-old Drew, 12 year-old Makayla, and 6 year-old Emily.

Her biggest accomplishment is being a Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Survivor!! TEN YEARS IN REMISSION!
