About Me

It is with great pleasure that I welcome your child to third grade!  I am especially excited to by looping from 2nd grade to 3rd grade this year! I look forward to working with you and your child to make this year a great success.  I’d like to start off by giving you a little information about me.  I have been teaching for 25 years, 22 of those years have been at Fork Shoals!  I have also taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grade, as well as students with learning disabilities.  As a child, I grew up right here in this community.  I went to Ellen Woodside Elementary, Woodmont Middle, and graduated from Woodmont High (Go Wildcats!).  I then graduated from The University of South Carolina Upstate.  I also have a Masters of Education Degree from Converse College.

I live in Simpsonville with my wonderful husband, Scott and my two boys, Bennett (19) and Noah (17).   Bennett will be a Sophmore at Clemson University, and Noah will be a Senior at Woodmont High School, where he also plays football and baseball.  We also have four-legged family members that we love very much also, our dogs Sophie and Mav, and our cat Puddles.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, reading, going for walks, and watching Noah play football and baseball.  I also enjoy watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball and college football.  Our house is divided now!  We are Gamecock fans, but having one at Clemson changes things!  I guess I will have to cheer for both!
