A Little About Mrs. Fallis

I am so excited to start another year here at Bell's!  This will be my 18th year teaching!  I am originally from Western Massachusetts, a place called Pittsfield in beautiful Berkshire County.  I went to Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire for my undergraduate.  There I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education along with a second Bachelor's in Social Sciences with a specialization in History and Sociology.  I love teaching and learning about groups of people through history! After 21 years of cold, long winters, I decided to head to the Sunshine State and moved to Osceola County, which is right next to Disney World.  I taught for 12 years, ten of those in 3rd grade and two in 5th grade. I earned two Master's while living in Florida, my first is in Curriculum and Instruction and my second is in Educational Leadership, both from Nova Southeastern University.   After 13 years of hot, long summers in Florida, I decided it was time to find a place that was not too hot and not too cold and my husband researched and found this perfect town in Upstate South Carolina called Simpsonville and after our first visit in May of 2017, we knew this is where we wanted to call home.

My family is my EVERYTHING.  My husband is one of the District's health educators, so he travels all over Greenville County teaching 9th graders, 7th graders, and even 5th graders.  I have two children, my oldest is Riley, she is 12 and is in 8th grade.  She is full of spunk and imagination and is truly my mini-me.  My son, Sawyer, is ten and he goes to Monarch Elementary for 5th grade. Sawyer has autism and is in a class designed to meet his needs.  He is the sweetest and funniest little fella, he loves to sing, count, and read.  We love animals.  We have four pets, one cat (Batman) and three pugs named Finnegan (we call him Finn or Finney McPug), Winston, and Pippa!  Our house is basically like Crazy Town, USA with all of the animals, but they bring us so much joy!

We love the beach and the mountains, which makes the Greenville area a perfect place for us.  I am so happy to be your 5th grade teacher, we are going to have a FABULOUS year!
