The purpose of this site is to help mathematics teacher educators use, adapt, and refine the LessonSketch experiences situated in Azul's Room, a virtual field placement.

Welcome To Azul's Room

Azul's Room is a space where preservice teachers can collectively consider the thinking of students and the moves of a teacher to provoke the conceptual understanding of mathematics. All this is done within the LessonSketch platform.

Meet Azul! Azul is a teacher, prepared to engage in the practices of being a teacher of mathematics. Azul wants to enact high quality math tasks, consider how students will take up such tasks, and engage in interviews around students' mathematical thinking.
