About Me

My dedication and commitment to student success is demonstrated through my use of a variety of instructional, assessment, and evaluation strategies that help to create an inclusive environment. I respect the diversity and multiculturalism of students enrolled in our schools and strive to implement creative and rewarding learning opportunities for all students. I am passionate and enthusiastic about my subject areas as well as providing an equitable, innovative, safe, and positive classroom and school community.

I first became interested in teaching when I taught in a language school in Greece. After teaching there, I decided to come home to Canada and get my Bachelor of Education.

The first two years of my teaching career were done in England. I had term positions at two alternate schools and worked at three different public schools as a grade 7-11 English teacher. It was a difficult transition at first, but the opportunities for travelling made up for it.

Currently I work for the South Shore Regional School Board. Being a part of the community by participating and providing opportunities for others is something I enjoy: Directing school plays, being the artistic director for The Winds of Change theatre company, singing in the Queens County Choir, and helping to organize fundraisers are just a few of the things I do.
