About Me

Hi! Thanks for stopping by and looking through my website! 

I grew up in Lower Sackville, N.S. and currently reside in Halifax, N.S. My family is from PEI and Newfoundland. 

Before starting my teaching career in the HRM, I taught English as a Second Language in Shanghai, China. This allowed me to explore my love of travel and learning about other cultures. I've also completed 2 sessions of the Explore Program where I practiced French in an immersive context in Chicoutimi and Trois-Rivières, Québec. 

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary's University and a Bachelor of Education degree from Acadia University. During my B.Ed., I specialized in Secondary Education with teachables in French and Social Studies as well as English as a Second Language. I am currently enrolled in a Master's of Education degree specializing in Educational Technology Integration.

In my free time I love to explore the outdoors, paddle, read, watch TV and spend time with my friends, family and my cat Felix.
