BackPack Food Program

At Richland School, we provide children who are at risk of weekend hunger a bag of food that is child-friendly, nutritious, nonperishable and easy to eat. Food bags are distributed once a week to provide meals for the weekend. Each food bag provides enough food for a child to easily assemble into six meals. This helps ensure that children will have food over the weekend and return to school ready to learn. Only students attending Richland Middle or High School need to apply. Students have to be in the building to receive services. Virtual students can apply through the board of education to receive weekly food assistance through our cafeteria program.

This BackPack program is only made possible through the generous funds we receive from members of our community and the grant through 2nd Harvest Food Bank.
