All Crownover students are expected to respect copyright law; therefore, students are instructed in the practice of citing sources and bibliography format for books, magazines, encyclopedia, and the Internet.
DISD uses MLA bibliography format.

PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is the act of copying another's work and not giving credit to the creator. Students at Crownover are given various note-taking techniques and practice in paraphrasing in order to avoid plagiarism.
If a student is found to have plagiarized an assignment, he/she will be referred to the principal.
