Daytime activities

Friday 5th

Arrival at the hotel. Host families will pick up students. Students: Dinner with hosts

Saturday 6th

08.30 Departure from the hotel by taxi. Arrival at the school. Tour in the school facilities.

09.30 - 12.30 First meeting of teachers and students. Division into work-groups. Acquaintance with the work places. Ice- breaking. Theatrical activities.

12.30 Light meal offered by school

13.00 Departure from the school on foot. Host students accompany the foreign students to their house. Teachers: Walk tour in the Old Town of Xanthi. Visit to the House of Shadow and the open market. Free shopping time. Students: Dinner with hosts

Sunday 7th

08.00 0utdoor activities in the river Nestos (Canoe- kayak- hiking by the river-mountain biking-rappeling-archery-flying fox ) Packet meal. Return to Xanthi at about 16.00

Monday 8th 08.10-09.00 Attend school classes with hosts

Teachers: Departure from the hotel by taxi

09.00 Official welcoming in the school amphitheatre for students and teachers.

10.00 Theatrical and drama activities by the students in their work-groups.

14.10 The host students accompany their guest students to their house.

14.10: Lunch for teachers offered by school.

19.30Party for all students and teachers organized by the Greek students at the Factory CIub.

Tuesday 9th

Day excursion to Thasos island. Visit in the ancient theatre of Thasos and the archeological museum of Limenas.

Wednesday 1Oth

08.00 Arrival of students and teachers at the school. Theatrical and drama activities. Preparing for the final performance of Romeo and Juliet.

13.00 Teacher's meeting

14:00 The host students accompany their guest students to their house.

14.00 Lunch only for the teachers at Xanthippi restaurant (10 minutes walk through the forest path) offered by the school.

16:00 Teachers: Departure from Xanthippi restaurant, tour by bus to Porto Lagos and the monastery of saint Nicolaos, Fanari village, and evening coffee with a view to the sunset by the sea. Return to Xanthi.

Thursday 11th

08.00 Arrival at school by taxi for teachers. Theatrical and drama activities. Preparing for the final performance of Romeo and Juliet.

12.30 Final performance of Romeo and |ulietbased on the students' theatrical adaptation.

14.30 Lunch at school for teachers and students offered by the school.

20.30 Teachers: Farewell dinner in a restaurant with live music.
