We have a busy weekend coming up. While we are hosting the 2025 Firecracker here in Brentwood, we also have a swimmer at US Nationals in Indianapolis.
But as busy as this weekend will be, it's not particularly unique as many of our summer weekends are double and sometimes, triple booked. Even though that may sound like a headache logistically, it's a direct result of our growth. Not only in the number of bodies on the team, but in the scope of our sport that we support. This weekend we have swimmers who are swimming their first long course meet while another is a the National Championships. Early this summer, we had swimmers at two different Open Water Championships and a swimmer qualify for Para Nationals. We even have swimmers coaching and swimming in summer league meets. In a few weeks, we'll have swimmers at championships in Brentwood, Huntsville, Orlando and Irvine. While this sounds like a lot, it's a testament to our dedication to all swimmers and all aspects of swimming.
Congratulations to all of our swimmers who are racing this weekend and all summer long, you are truly a championship team!
USA Swimming's Virtual Club Championship
Throughout the long course season, we will be carefully following our team's national ranking as we aim to break into the top 40 for the first time every. You can follow along here!
Gallatin- Thanks to everyone on the whole team who recorded a "Go Bryce" video at the Firecracker meet. Your support means a lot to her and her family.
-Coach Andreea
Over the course of the short course season, our club will be tracking a series of recognition programs to help motivate our swimmers to succeed un a multitude of events. While ultimately these programs do reward success, they are designed to be achievable by any level of swimmers, not just those with the most experience. You can always find the running totals for each at the bottom of the Excel Extras.
Heat Winner: Place in the top three swimmers in your age group for number of races won throughout the year. This award tends to favor those athletes that are attending meets, swimming a lot of events, racing hard but most importantly, improving throughout the year. Winners will receive a "Heat Winner" bag tag.

All of our parent volunteers play a vital role in hosting meets. We simply could not host meets in your absence. While most jobs take little training or experience, meet officials go through an educational and training process that enables them to help officiate at all meets. In fact, our own Excel officials have outnumbered the host team officials in both our first two meets. We are very grateful to our officiating crew but are always looking for new members. Meet officials
Ensure a safe and fair competition for all our athletes
Satisfy all their volunteer requirements
Have the best seat in the pool
Have access to hospitality
