We are only 1 week away from Excel's own Meet of Champs. This is the first prelims/finals meet of the season for us and we look forward to lots of fast swimming and new qualifying times.

Meet of Champs does bring with it some logistical challenges as well so please keep checking the Cheat Sheet (starting Monday) and your email. For starters, here' s a note from Meet Director Lori Biller:
"For the Prelim AM session: All Excel athletes swimming in the prelims, no matter what site you swim at, must sit in the tennis court during prelims, and all athletes will be required to go directly to the tennis court when they arrive for the prelims. Excel parents can sit in the tennis court if there is enough room. You may bring chairs. Please do not take up more space than you need and do not make large circles. Space is limited as visiting teams will be in there. No seat saving will be allowed in the bleachers on deck. No Excel athlete or their gear may be in the bleachers during prelims. This includes the bleachers near the locker rooms. That will be for spectator seating if needed.”

Most groups will be spending this whole week preparing for the meet so please keep your swimmers healthy, relaxed and well fed!

Any family that has been with us for even one season will know that we love to use USA Swimming's Virtual Club Rankings as a way to track our progress within the Southeastern Conference but also against our competition on the national level. However, due to the new registration system at USA Swimming, they are unable to produce those rankings at this moment. Thankfully, we have another place to look at in the meantime.
SwimCloud.com is a website that ranks swim teams, both as a whole team and by age groups. Once on there, you can filter the rankings by gender and age group, and even by event. As you can see, Excel Aquatics is doing very well!
