Some of you may want to try sushi, the most internationally recognized dish of Japanese cuisine. Hokkaido sushi is particularly praised and famous thanks to local fresh seafood ingredients. The following restaurants are popular among locals, as they serve authentic sushi at reasonable prices.

Hanamaru Sushi restaurants (there are eight locations in Sapporo; “Tokeidai”, “PASEO”, and “JR Tower Stellar Place” are situated in the city center https://www.sushi-hanamaru.com/la_en/)

In addition to the abovementioned cuisine genres, we can recommend Sūpu Karē “Soup curry with rice”—typical Hokkaido food, which is popular among tourists, as well as authentic crab cuisine “Kani nabe.” Please be warned that the latter, while delicious, is rather expensive.
