WMS Makerspace

Calling all...

Artists, Engineers, Developers & Makers

The WMS Makerspace is a DIY space where students and adults can gather to create, invent, and learn. In the Makerspace, learners can explore their own interests and develop creative projects of their choosing. Electronics, 3d printing, film production, coding, and artistic design are just a few of the many opportunities that await.

Maker Mentality

"What is this?"

"What does this do?"

"How did you do that?"

"Let's see what happens when I try this."

"Hey, look at this!"

"Let me learn more about how this works."

"I can make it even better."

"That didn't work, but I have another idea."

  • Makers believe that if you can imagine it, you can make it. Makers are more than consumers — they are producers; everyone is a Maker, and our world is what we make it.

  • Makers seek out opportunities to learn and try new things, especially through hands-on, DIY (do-it-yourself) interactions.

  • Makers make up a community of creative and technical people that help one another do better. They are open, encouraging, and willing to share their knowledge and creations with others.
