Meet Mrs. Firak
My name is Dawn Firak and I am so excited to call Anderson Elementary my new teaching home!! This will be my first year in the district but my 20th year teaching music!
I hold a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music Education at Northern Illinois University, and am a National Board Certified Teacher.
I am the proud mama of my ten year old daughter, 8 year old son, and our very spoiled dog Eddie! In my free time you will find me at our cottage in Galena, reading a good book, playing board games and Nintendo Switch with my kids, and gardening with my husband.
I am very excited about my new teaching adventures in D303 and look forward to meeting and working with all of you!
