TN Governor's School

The Tennessee Governor's Schools provide eleven different challenging and high-intensity programs in the summer for academically talented rising 11th and 12th grade students (current sophomores and juniors). Each school offers a unique learning environment for students interested in the arts, humanities, agriculture science, STEM programs, advanced mathematics, physics, leadership, international studies, Tennessee history, or potential teaching careers. All programs are approximately four weeks in duration, during the early part of summer, on various post secondary campuses in Tennessee.

STUDENTS MUST TURN IN THEIR COMPLETED GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL APPLICATIONS TO MRS. WISEMAN IN GUIDANCE BY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23TH FOR THE GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7TH FOR INTEGRATION OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE/SCIENTIFIC EXPLORATION OF TENNESSEE HERITAGE, AND WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 15TH FOR ALL OTHER SCHOOLS.

It is up to the student to make sure his/her application is completed on time and has the appropriate signatures. We are not able to interrupt classes in order to remind students of requirements or deadlines.
