The research group is headed by Dr. Zahoor Ul Hussain Awan as Principle Investigator. Dr. Zahoor ul Hussain Awan is the Chairman of the Department of Food Engineering and also serves as a Full Professor in the Department of Polymers and Petrochemical Engineering at NED University. Dr. Zahoor has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Zahoor completed his Ph.D. from Chonkbuk National University, South Korea in the Faculty Development program in the year 2014 with a research focus on metal-air batteries. Dr. Zahoor joined NED University in the year 2008 as Lecturer and was later promoted to the ranks of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the year 2010 and 2015 respectively.
