Welcome to Redwell

We at Redwell ELC aim to provide a wide range of daily opportunities that cover a wide range of curricular areas. We offer a stimulating and inspiring indoor/outdoor provision for children in our care aged 3-5 years old.

Our aspiration for Redwell ELC is that we will become a centre of excellence for our children and our families. We want to be the best place for our children and families to learn and grow together.

We follow the Curriculum for Excellence guidelines focusing on the Early Level which covers Redwell ELC to end of P1. We track your child’s progress in learning and development throughout their time and work closely with school where information is shared to ensure a continued path of progression.

We also follow ‘Realising the Ambition: Being Me’ guidance on early learning and childcare which promotes children deserving the very best experiences throughout their learning journey. It describes the focus of the learning environment in terms of interactions, experiences and spaces to raise our expectations of what a high quality setting will look like.

Our Day

We have 3 session option times at the moment. They are

Session 1 Drop off - 8.30 till 8.45

Pick up - 2.30 till 2.45

Session 2 Drop off - 8.50 till 9.05

Pick up - 2.50 till 3.05

Throughout the day children will experience both free flow play and structured play activities. Children have the choice to which they would like to participate. Children are offered a healthy snack both in the morning and the afternoon. Our healthy snacks conform to the Setting the Table guidelines. Children also are provided with a school lunch to which we enjoy in a friendly and social way, by all sitting around a table together.
