SUMMER SCHOOL DETAILS AND Q & A
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DATES:Â
Registration:Â Courses are offered at NO COST! Deadline to register is July 12. PE Registration closes on 6/3/24*.
Students can either retake a FAILED course or take a NEW course.Â
When Do Classes Start: Start classes as early as June 3. After you register, you will receive an email in late May with your class log-in information.
*PE courses MUST BE started by June 3. Students taking PE are not able to enroll in any other courses for credit accrual.
HOW MANY CLASSES CAN I TAKE: Up to two semester-long courses. Each class earns .5 High School credit. Students taking PE are not able to enroll in any other courses (as it is a 10 week course).
If you are taking ONE COURSE: Your deadline is August 9th.
If you are taking TWO COURSES: You MUST complete your first course and REGISTER for your second course by July 12. You MUST complete your second course by August 9th.
WHAT CLASSES ARE OFFERED?
Health/Fitness:: Health, PE I A, PE I B, PE II A
Math:Â Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Consumer Math (3rd credit of math alternative)
English:Â English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12
Science:Â Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Environmental Science (one semester only)
Social Studies: Geography (9th grade Social Studies), World History (10th grade Social Studies), US History (11th grade Social Studies), Civics (Government - 12th grade Social Studies)
Art: Fundamentals of Art Appreciation, Fundamentals of Art History
World Language (Credit Accrual only/NEW course): Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4
WHICH CLASSES SHOULD I TAKE: Check Powerschool for grade history (see below) and talk with your current teachers!!
In PowerSchool, click 'Grade History' to see ALL final semester grades to determine which summer classes you should take.Â
