About Chime In!
Arising from our origins as a family of handbell choirs, we engage people in the joy and sense of community that music fosters through participation and performance.
Vision
Guided by the spirit, we become part of something greater than ourselves when we make music together. Through music, we create and build community.
Our lively interactive public performances inspire our audiences to participate in making music with us and to discover through question and answer the mechanics and history of our music.
In the spirit of reaching out to all, we often deliver music to our audiences when they cannot come to us.
We are a cooperative intergenerational community that continues to grow in membership and musicianship. Our informal style and inclusive approach encourage anyone to be part of our family. We welcome and mentor people of any age and of all ranges of musical ability and experience. We find joy and inspiration in making and sharing music together.
The Corporation
Chime In! Music With a Mission, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Connecticut as a non-stock corporation as of October 31, 2011.
Chime In! Music With a Mission, Inc. is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the organization are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Chime In! Music With a Mission, Inc. is a totally volunteer organization. Members, participants, and directors all volunteer their time to engage people in the joy and sense of community that music fosters through participation and performance.
Our Home Base
Chime In! rehearses and is housed at the First Church of Bethlehem, on the green in Bethlehem, Connecticut.
