Why esports?

History

Video game competitions have been taking place since the 1970's. With technological advancements over the last 20 years, Esports has grown both in participation and viewership to the point that the League of Legends (one of the most widely played video games in the world) world championships had teams from 4 continents and a prize pool of $2.225 million.
