Mr. Pisacreta's Home Page
Mr. Pisacreta is the Instrumental Education Specialist at Guinyard-Butler Middle School.
Students in his classes are charged with learning music theory and music performance skills.

GBMS Band Supply List for Virtual and Face to Face Students
All Band Students need the following
Instrument (students playing large school-owned instruments please be aware you will have an instrument assigned to you)
Instrument specific supplies (cleaning cloths, reeds, cork grease, valve oil, slide grease)
Music Stand (for home use for both Virtual and Face to Face students)
A level, straight backed chair (provided in the classroom, but Virtual Students will need this at home for them to sit on when playing their instrument)
Metronome/Tuner (you can also download one on a device)
Required Band Book (listed below by grade level)
Pencils
Black ½ inch 3 ring binder with pockets (this binder will be used for performances scheduled at a later date)
Plastic Page Protectors for music and other items passed out to them in class (virtual students will need to print out music and other items posted in Google Classroom)
7th Grade Band - All books are specific to the instrument your child plays
Standard of Excellence Book 1 (complete what was not covered last year)

When ordering Reeds, I highly recommend the Vandoren brand because they are more durable and will last longer if taken care of properly. Also, all Clarinet and Saxophone students should be playing on a reed strength of 3. Oboe players should be on a Medium Soft.
