International Academy CAS

CAS & College Admissions

Higher ed institutions recognize the International Baccalaureate as a rigorous program. Especially research universities value IB’s commitment to intellectual curiosity, where students think critically and explore beyond the traditional confines of a classroom and put knowledge in action.

-Dr. Costas Solomou, Dean of Admissions, The George Washington University

Students commit to an 18 month CAS lifestyle with a balanced distribution between the three strands: creativity, activity, and service.

It is the experience and the reflection upon the experience that counts.

These are not experiences beyond what students are already doing in their lives; this is matter of seeing these with a new lens and reflecting on them.

CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development. A meaningful CAS programme is a journey of discovery of self and others. For many, CAS is profound and life-changing. Each individual student has a different starting point and different end goals. A CAS programme is, therefore, individualized according to student interests, skills, values and background.

Creativity

exploring and extending ideas leading to an original or interpretive product or performance

Activity

Service
