Mu Alpha Theta
Mu Alpha Theta is a National Mathematics Honor Society. To join, you must meet the following requirements:
Members must be high school students in grades 9 through 12
Members must be registered with Mu Alpha Theta at the school at which their permanent records reside
Members must have completed the equivalent of two years of college preparatory mathematics, including algebra and/or geometry, and have completed or are enrolled in a third year of college preparatory mathematics
On the 4-point grading scale, members must have at least a 3.0 math grade point average
Student must maintain this math GPA with current math courses being taken
To receive a Mu Alpha Theta Honors Cord at graduation, students must have met these requirements each semester through their senior year.
Your Goal: Receive a minimum of 15 Points
0.5 point for each meeting that you attend
1 point for each 45 mins of tutoring
Honor Cords
Points requirements fulfilled (15 points for senior year, maintain 10 points each underclassmen year)
*No outstanding dues for t-shirt and/or cord
