Welcome to Dr. Mark Wang's research group at the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering (SBHSE), Arizona State University. 

Cardiovascular disease is the primary cause of mortality and morbidity in the Western world. Despite progress made over the past few decades, current diagnostic and treatment approaches still fall short of meeting expectations. The Wang laboratory is dedicated to utilizing molecular and cell engineering techniques, in combination with biomaterials, to develop nanosized therapeutic and imaging agents for enhancing the treatment and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. The overarching goal is to translate our discoveries into precision nanomedicine, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
