ABOUT ME

Greetings! I am Mr. Ross. I was born on the East Coast and have lived in a variety of locations including New Jersey, Chicago, Japan, and Kansas City, MO. I am an avid KC Chiefs fan and I enjoy a multitude of interests. I believe in pursuing interests to the fullest and as  result I have quite a varied portfolio of interests and hobbies. I have been involved in high school football, robotics, and debate. I served an LDS mission from 10-12 in Wisconsin. In college I competed in Basketball, Swing Dancing, and Fencing all the while being active in student societies like Phi Sigma Alpha and the Jeffersonian Society. I received my bachelors degree in Political Science and served internships in Israel and with the Heritage Foundation.

EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

I fervently believe that the purpose of education is to train not just the mind, but the body and soul. My education philosophy is simple: I believe that every student is capable of achieving the fullest measure of their potential. Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow. I believe that every student is an athlete, every student has to decide whether they will push for personal accomplishment and success, or to watch others achieve what they could. My role as an educator is to help students strive to set and meet goals, to help the realize their potential, and to help them recognize their own skills and abilities.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO

I am immensely looking forward to this school year! There are so many opportunities and programs to get involved in; I am involved in athletics, and I am excited to start Running Enrichment program in classes this year along with our Fitness Goals and Fitness Journals!
