“For safety's sake, the bus driver is in charge of the bus. Each student must obey the bus rules and the driver.
No vaping, smoking, or consumption of any prohibited substances
Music can only be played through headphones (use of any speaker/broadcast device is prohibited)
No aerosols or fragrances are to be used on a bus
All students must remain seated for the duration of the ride
Report any rude disrespectful or inappropriate behavior to the driver (and follow up with a Harwood administrator or student support specialist as soon as possible).
All students must be quiet at railroad crossings for safety reasons.
Follow all driver's instructions and enforcement of additional safety procedures are solely at the discretion of the driver and school.
Riding the HUUSD busses is a privilege that students jeopardize when they misbehave, potentially creating an enormous, expensive inconvenience to parents/guardians. Consequences are directly related to the impact of that misbehavior. Consequences may result in a student losing busing privileges.
