Spanish I

Spanish 1 is the introductory level to a second language. Knowledge of basic English grammar is helpful but will be reviewed as the Spanish concepts are introduced.  Students will cover topics including, but not limited to, the calendar/days/dates; describing people and things; discussing school related issues such as classes, clothing, transportation and schedules; Spanish and Hispanic foods/food shopping; and sports (baseball, soccer, basketball).  This course is designed for a beginner with no background knowledge of Spanish but also provides elaboration and further development for those students who have covered the basics in elementary school.
