Soccer is possibly the world's most popular team sport. It's also Special Olympics' most popular sport.  In addition to offering seven-a-side soccer, Special Olympics soccer offers individual skills competitions to allow athletes to train and compete in basic soccer skills. The development of these key skills is necessary prior to advancing to team competition.
