Culture Searches:

1.) Look up these popular food items and tell me what they are: soup du jour, hors d'oeuvres, coq au vin, and ratatouille. (2 points)


2.) Click on "View of Paris"

Choose 5 monuments and tell me 1 interesting fact about each one you choose. (5 points)


3.) Borrow an "Allons-y!" magazine from me. Read an article. Write 2-3 sentences, in English, telling what the article is about.

limit 5 articles. (2 points each article summary)

4.) There are 5 Regions of France listed below. (7 points)

Île-de-France, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Rhône-Alpes, Normandie, Midi-Pyrénées

Look them up and answer the following questions:

1. Where is the region located in France?

(i.e. North West, or East, and near this country or body of water)

2. What is this region known for?

3. What city in this region would you visit and why?


5.) Choose 5 of the famous French people, listed below, and tell me what they are known for.

6.) Make your own visual memory device for the 16 motion verbs that use "être" in the passé composé.

You can draw it, use clipart, or cut out pictures. Just make sure it's neat and easy to read.
