About Me

A little bit about me…I have lived in Arizona for the past 32 years and grew up in San Jose, California. I have a daughter, Emma, who is 20 years old and twin sons, Nathan and Ryan, who are 18 years old. All three of my children attend ASU. My husband’s name is Jeff and we have been married for 22 years. We also have two dogs named Jenna and Max. My hobbies are scrapbooking and spending time with my family.

I graduated from ASU with a bachelor degree in Finance. I worked in accounting for 6 years and then stayed home with my three children for 5 years. I always wanted to make a positive impact in children's lives, which lead me to complete my Master’s degree in elementary education at ASU West. I taught at Wildfire Elementary for 6 years and fully enjoyed working with the students there. I am now entering my twelfth year of teaching and this is my sixth year at Explorer. I have earned my gifted endorsement and enjoy providing a challenging environment for all students.

I recognize that we all learn differently and hope to make this a fun school year filled with learning in a variety of ways. I will do everything in my power to help my students succeed and expect them to play an active role in their own education. Together we will create a safe and comfortable environment where I will expect all my students to treat me and each other with respect.
