What is FAFSA?
** FSA ID and FAFSA Information
The student who will be attending a post-secondary school which includes college or a career technical school next August can fill out FAFSA. This is usually seniors.
The student and one parent will fill out the 2023-24 FAFSA starting October 1st. The student needs to create an FSA ID and one parent needs to create their FSA ID. This should be done a minimum of 3 days before completing the FAFSA.

First, create a username and password known as the FSA ID.
Use the link: Create an FSA ID to make it.
It is used to start the FAFSA application and to sign it. This must be done a minimum of 3 days prior to filling out FAFSA. The student and one parent need an FSA ID. You will need your social security number.
Once you create it, you will receive an email stating that you have been verified. Then, it's okay to fill out the FAFSA application. Keep your FSA ID for all of the years you are in college.
