GAMES and APPS
A brand new free game app from our friends at the Goethe-Institut. This is great for beginners, and it gives you some help in English so you understand what´s going on. Choose an Avatar, explore a German city, earn points (and extra credit), and have fun! You can play online or download it onto your mobile device.
You will get 10 extra credit points for each hour you play, and 5 extra credit points for a short written review; since the game is new, we are in the process of evaluating it, so you are playing an important role in deciding how we will use it in the future.
Other Practice Sites
These sites may help you practice your skills, and you may find them very useful. You can earn some extra credit using them, but keep in mind that they do not replace the practice on the mandatory sites.
Online exercises to accompany our textbook (Chapters 1 to 12).
A free site for practicing German and other languages. You can use it on the computer or on the smartphone. Fun Fact: Mr. Simms loves to use this app to learn some German!
Use this site for interactive language practice.
You must complete 10 hours of language practice with TMM for the first semester.
In addition, complete 1 hour of TMM for each class session you missed to make up the lost participation points.
