Drumline

As the Peoria Notre Dame Drumline continues to grow and become more experienced, it is the responsibility of all of our musicians to practice the materials and perform to the best of their ability. Everyone plays a vital role to the overall sound of the section. We are constantly playing during football games, parades, and various other times. As is the case, you are expected to follow a certain amount of professional decorum so as to not tarnish the reputation of the section.

Expectations:

  • It is expected that members are dedicated to the line whenever they are at a rehearsal, game, or any other event. This does not mean you can't do other extracurricular activities. However, when you are in band, your focus should be band.
  • It is expected that they practice and memorize any music with which they have difficulty. Warm-Ups and Cadences are expected to be memorized as you will not have music during parades, in the stands, etc. Show music is highly encouraged to be memorized.
  • It is expected that you keep up with schoolwork. Failing means you are unable to participate in any extracurricular activity. If you are struggling in a class, ask for help / tutoring. Should it become a recurring problem, your participation on the drumline may be reviewed, as long absences will have an impact on the quality of the line.
  • It is expected that NO outside distractions should hinder the progress and rapport of the drumline. Leave distractions outside of the rehearsal space.
  • Finally, you should have fun and make memories.
  • These rules are expected to be followed by everyone.
