3. Challenge yourself to be a vital part of discussions.

4. Know when to lead and when to follow.

Homework Policy:

Late work will be accepted at 50%. If the work has been returned and/or graded in class you will receive an alternate assignment. Work missed due to excused absences will receive full credit. (An assignment is considered late if it is turned in anytime after I have already collected it from the class).

If you need to use my printer, it is your responsibility to come in before school (8:15 a.m.), after school, or during advisory. You may not use my printer during class time.

Absences:

Class attendance is extremely important. Students will be held responsible for all class lectures, instruction, and discussions. A student has one school day to make up missed work for everyday that student was absent. However, if a student’s absence is marked as “unexcused,” the student is not allowed to make up missed work and receives a zero for work collected during the unexcused absence. All assignments will go into the grade book as a zero until the work is made up.

Plagiarism:

Academic honesty requires that the source of all facts and opinions be documented and that all language/ideas taken from other sources must be enclosed in quotation marks. Plagiarism is the failure to do this. In cases where deliberate deception is suspected, the instructor will issue a grade of “0” for the paper in question and may refer the case to the dean. Parents will be notified.

Grading Policy:

Grades are based on the following: Homework, quizzes, tests, projects, writing assignments. Grades are based on total points. Please check you grades on line.

Let me know if you have any questions.
