About Me

I’m the 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher. This is my seventeenth wonderful year teaching at Odyssey Community School. I have a B.A. in English from Franklin and Marshall College and a M.A. in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. I also completed a program through Albertus Magnus College to become certified in literacy.

I love middle school students. They can sometimes be a little crazy, but I love their energy and enthusiasm! I have always loved books, reading, and children so my job is perfect for me and I plan to stay at Odyssey for a long time.

I have a wonderful husband, Pete, and two adorable sons, PJ and Will. I love spending time with my family and playing with my sons. I also love stories, so I enjoy reading, watching TV, seeing movies, and going to plays. I also really like playing games, especially board games and card games. Another thing I love is traveling. The farthest place I’ve been is Japan, but my favorite is Iceland. Iceland has all kinds of amazing nature: waterfalls, volcanoes, geysers, black sand beaches, glaciers, and hot springs. The next place I really want to go to is South America.

“The more that you read,

the more things you will know.

The more that you learn,

the more places you'll go."

- Dr. Seuss
