Services: Pressure from peers, unrealistic expectations, the relentlessness of social media, are just a few of the forces making it an extremely challenging time to grow up in. At Rideauwood we recognize just how challenging it is and offer tailored programs for Youth and Young Adults focused on substance use, behavioural addictions and mental health issues. We provide specialized support and partner with clients to choose the program path that meets their individual goals.

Liz Fee

Services: The nurse practitioner offers health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a broad range of health problems and topics. She provides health counselling on topics such as eating, exercise, sleep, drugs, and stress. As well, she provides free testing for STIs (sexually transmitted infections) and low cost/free birth control and other medication, Plan B, and condoms. Finally, she can help connect you with community resources like free dental exams, eye exams, or physiotherapy. Information shared is confidential.

Services: Mental Health and Critical Services, Certified Behaviour Management Systems Instructor, Certified Implementation Leader for Youth Connections Ottawa, social skill development, anger management, problem solving and more.

Community Outreach/Combined Services:
The OCDSB, in partnership with OCISO (Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization) continues to support our families through the (MLO) Multicultural Liaison Officer program. This program addresses the settlement and integration needs of newcomers, immigrants, and refugee students and their families to ensure a successful school experience. Our MLO provides information about the education system, support services and advocacy for students and parents, and connects families to specialized community resources as needed.

Rajo ProjectServices: Named after the Somali word for hope -Aims to empower Somali youth and families living in Ottawa through culturally sensitive engagement strategies. Rajo envisions a community where Somali youth have access to opportunities, skills , resources and the support they need to achieve their full potential. The service provides culturally sensitive services consisting of:
