Key-Stage 2: Years 3 to 6 ---- Key-stage 3 : Years 7 to 9
There are 2 academic terms per year.
Two exams are held each term :
a) 1st Term Exam : 20 Marks 2nd Term Exam : 20 Marks
Mid Term Exam : 30 Marks Final Term Exam : 30 Marks
b) Core Subjects (for Year 9) : 100 Marks for each exam
The Passing mark is 60%
Subjects taught are :
English Language & Literature, Maths , Science, French/German , English History & Geography,Arabic , Religion , Arabic Social Studies, I.C.T. and Art
Year 3, 4 & 5
We follow the curriculum outline for Key stage 2 .
Exams Follow the criteria of the progression tests set by Cambridge .
Year 6
Students sit for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Exams held by the British Council at school in the following subjects:
Maths, Science and English Language
Year 7 & 8
We follow the curriculum outline for Key stage 3 .
Exams Follow the criteria of the progression tests set by Cambridge .
Year 9
Students follow the same basic system, except that they will sit for EXTERNAL IGCSE Core Exams at end of the Second Term instead of the Checkpoint Exams.
There will be no INTERNAL end of Term Two Exams in the following subjects : English , Math and Science, however, there will be internal examinations in all the other subjects.
Reports are issued after each set of internal examinations.

We believe that it is our job to teach students beyond a mere academic spectrum. We hope to help our students act responsibly, honestly, kindly, patiently and respectfully. Students should learn and strive to consistently apply MES values.

Health Protocol

Modern Education Schools are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for all staff members and students. This health protocol outlines the measures that will be taken to prevent the spread of illness, promote good hygiene, and ensure the well-being of our school community.
General Health and Hygiene:
Hand hygiene:
All staff and students are encouraged to wash their hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially:
After using the restroom
Before eating
After coughing, sneezing, or blowing their nose
After touching animals
After handling garbage
Hand sanitizing stations will be readily available throughout the school premises.
Respiratory hygiene:
All staff and students are encouraged to cover their mouths and noses with a tissue or their elbow when coughing or sneezing.
Used tissues should be disposed of immediately in a covered bin.
Personal items:
Sharing personal items such as cups, utensils, and towels is discouraged.
Physical activity:
All staff and students are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for physical activity.
Illness Prevention:
Immunizations:
Modern Education Schools will follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding immunizations.
Parents are encouraged to keep their children's immunizations up to date.
Vaccinations:
Modern Education Schools will encourage staff and students to get vaccinated against preventable diseases, such as seasonal influenza.
Information about vaccination programs will be readily available.
Hygiene awareness:
Regular hygiene awareness campaigns are conducted for both staff and students.
These campaigns focus on the importance of handwashing, respiratory hygiene, and good hygiene practices in general.
Cleaning and disinfection:
All classrooms, common areas, and restrooms are cleaned and disinfected regularly.
High-touch surfaces are given particular attention.
Ventilation:
Proper ventilation is maintained in all classrooms and common areas to ensure good air quality.
Responding to Health Emergencies:
Emergency preparedness:
Modern Education Schools have a plan in place for responding to health emergencies, such as outbreaks of infectious diseases.
The plan includes procedures for:
Identifying and isolating sick individuals
Contact tracing
Communication with parents and guardians
Collaboration with health authorities
First aid and medical assistance:
Trained staff are available to provide first aid and administer emergency medication if necessary.
A first-aid kit is readily available in each school.

Modern Education Schools will keep parents and guardians informed about any health concerns or outbreaks in the school community.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to communicate with the school if their child is experiencing any symptoms of illness.

Additional Considerations:
This health protocol may be updated periodically as necessary to reflect changes in national or local guidelines, or new scientific evidence.
Staff and students with specific health needs will be accommodated as appropriate.
