NRS Table 7
NRS Table 7: Adult Education Personnel by Function and Job Status
Field Information
User Notes
Fiscal Year Summaries should to be run before generating NRS table 7 to provide the most current information.
FY Summaries can be run manually at the Staff area: More-> Create FY Summaries.
Staff members must have:
a Staff History Status of Active
Example:
A teacher will count on Table 7 if:
Overall Status is Left
Classification is Local Teacher
Employment status is NOT Contractor.
Class Assignment Date is in the current FY
'Active' Staff History record
A teacher will count on Table 7 if:
Teacher was made 'Active' in 2000
Teacher was never assigned a class
-OR- been assigned to a class with a start date within the current fiscal year
In column B, count each part-time employee of the program administered under the Adult Education State Plan who is being paid out of Federal, Sate, and / or local education funds.
In column C, count one time only each full-time employee of the program administered under the Adult Education State Plan who is being paid out of Federal, State, and / or local education funds.
In column D, count each volunteer (personnel who are not paid) who served in the program administered under the Adult Education State Plan.
Staff information can be verified by running the Staff Diagnostic Search, or by running the Staff Alert Dashboard.
Multiple Classifications
Staff members may have multiple classifications assigned for inclusion on Table 7.
1. Multiple classifications may be added in the staff record at the Staff Data tab/Classifications panel.
2. The most recent record by start date will display as read only in the 'Classification,' Employment Status,' and 'Full-Time' fields on the staff Key Info panel.
Rules:
1. A staff may not be counted for two full-time classifications.
2. A staff may be counted for multiple part time classifications.
3. A staff may be counted for one full-time and one or more part-time classifications.
Additionally:
If a staff member is fulfilling one full-time or two or more part-time classifications, then an end date is not necessary on any of the records; the staff will count on Table 7 for each valid classification in the year they were active. Active is indicated by an ‘active’ staff history record or a class assignment with the start date in the current FY.
If the staff member is fulfilling two full-time classifications, then one must have an end date. Only the record without an end date will be counted on Table 7. If neither record has an end date, then the staff would not count on Table 7.
If two full-time classifications are entered on the same start date, and both have an end date, then the classification with the most recent end date in the reporting year would count on Table 7.
If two full-time classifications are entered on the same start date, and both have the same end date, they are counted in the order of priority:
Local Teacher
State Administrator
State Supervisor
State Ancillary Services
Local Administrator
Local Supervisor
Local Ancillary Services
Local Counselor
Local Aide/Paraprofessional
You may create a Custom View with the fields 'Classification,' 'Employment Status,' 'Full-Time,' and 'Years of Experience in Adult Education.' This view will only display the most recent classification, employment status, and full-time by start date.
TIP: A staff diagnostic search is available at the staff area. Dashboard staff alerts are also available to help find staff who are missing data, or who have invalid data for Table 7 reporting.
